Wiki help

There are many useful tools in a wiki such as revision history, categorisation and template mechanisms, but rather than getting bogged down in these complicated aspects of the system, just think of the wiki as a useful repository for notes about the project which you can refer to in forum discussions and for future reference.

Articles can be created for various concepts related to the project such as for specific chips or suppliers. These articles can then have useful related resources such as links, for example an article about a specific chip may have links to the suppliers with the best prices, to datasheets and may include useful contributions by members about their experiences and use cases of the chip.

The best place to start is by creating a user page to introduce yourself and learn the basics of editing articles. I've made my user page as an example :-)

Wikitext cheatsheet

Wiki's can seem a bit confusing at first due to their use symbols such as asterisks, single-quotes, square-brackets and braces (called "wikitext") to represent formatting elements. Even though wikitext can get pretty complex, 99% of the time you'll only need the basics which are described in the following table for easy access. At the end of the page is a list of links for more information ranging from basic to advanced.

The middle column is what you type into the article in "edit mode" (after clicking the edit link at the top of the page), and the right-hand column shows what the result would be when viewing the article normally. For more detailed information about editing and wikitext, see Help:Wikitext.
